Process​​

Pre-Restorative Justice Conference

 

1. Wrongdoing occurs

 

2. Offender & Victim eligibility is determined.

 

3. The facilitator meets the Offender and Victim separately.

 

4. Offender and Victim needs and goals are established with the Facilitator.

 

5. The Restorative Justice model is determined

  • Peacemaking Circles

  • Healing Circles

  • Sentencing Circles

  • Restorative Conferencing Circles

  • Victim Offender Mediation

  • Family Group Conferencing

  • Community Justice Forum

  • Youth Justice Committees

Restorative Justice Conference

​

1. The mediation conference begins with the Offender, Victim, Facilitator, and others affected by the incident.

​​

2. Throughout the conference(s), the established Offender and Victim needs are covered and met to the best of everyone’s abilities.

​​

3. Restitution from the Offender is completed, costs of damages are covered as needed, or scheduling for community volunteering is completed.

​

Post-Restorative Justice Conference

​

1. Follow-up is completed for additional requirements if necessary. The Facilitator will arrange to complete them with the Offender and Victim.​

 

2. Surveys and evaluations are sent to both the Offender and Victim, they cover various stages of the process including, intake, preparation, conference, and post-conference.
