The age limit for duck purchasers is 18 years and over.

Ducks shall not be sold to a person under 18 years of age.

Ducks shall not be sold to a person who is not a resident of the Province of Alberta.

Ducks sold online through the Zeffy platform and in-person through Synergy.
-
All ducks sold have a corresponding number duck that will be entered into the Duck Race.

Draw Date and Location: Duck Race – August 17, 2024, @ 11:00 AM at John Peake Park, Chestermere

There will be 5 winning ducks, each awarded prize packages.

All ducks will be sold at $10 each. Maximum of 500 ducks to be sold.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and will only be presented to the name on the winning ticket.

The winner will be notified by the Synergy Team in writing and/or by phone of what they have won and how to claim their prize.

Any individual, 18 years of age or older, in the province of Alberta is eligible to purchase a ticket including Synergy employees’ immediate family. Employees and Directors of Synergy themselves are not eligible to participate in the Duck Race as a winner.

In the event that the duck race cannot go ahead, due to technical difficulties, weather, etc., the winning numbers will be drawn in a random draw of duck numbers sold.

You will never be asked to send money to claim a prize. If you are being asked to send a cheque, money order, or payment of any kind to claim your prize, it is a scam. Hang up the phone or delete the email.

If a winner cannot be located after a period of two weeks from the draw date, the prize or equivalent cash value will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by AGLC.

In the event of a winning duck number having more than one name, we will award the prize to the first name listed. The AGLC and the licensee are not responsible for resolving any disputes which may arise from the different individuals.

If a purchased duck has been entered in any draw, no refund will be issued after the draw has taken place.

No cash alternatives to the prize will be awarded.

These programs offer opportunities for youth and community members to connect, build self-confidence, find a place to belong, and discover their passions while learning to be exceptional community leaders. Our community volunteers will race through an obstacle course again this year on August 17th, 2024 at John Peake Anniversary Park starting at 11:00 am. Watch them struggle through water and mud​, as they each randomly grab a rubber duck and carry it to the finish line! Prizes will be awarded to the individuals whose ducks obtained 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th​, and 5th place! We can't wait to see you there!
