LEAD: YELL is currently learning Calgary’s LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, Achieving a Difference) curriculum as well workshops which include Politics, Career Planning & Networking, Financial Literacy, Law & Restorative Justice, Indigenous Culture, Public Speaking and Scholarships.

Pretty In Pink: Pretty in Pink is an annual anti-bullying campaign ran by the YELL Youth Council, in which they fundraise for a non-profit charity with a similar vision. YELL presents assemblies to local elementary schools about what bullying looks like, and how it can be prevented.

All Candidates Forum: The All Candidates Forum is an annual event in which the people from the community can ask candidates questions about their platform in the upcoming elections. YELL has hosted the All Candidates Forum since 2007 and after 10 forums, continues to help inform the community about who they are voting for. This event sees the candidates on stage, where they answer questions submitted by community members, as a way to ensure that the people know the person they want to vote in.

Civic Leader Engagement: YELL Youth Council takes initiative and reaches out to leaders in the community, such as MLA's and MP's, councillors and mayors, in hopes of creating lasting connections that demonstrate the power of youth voices.
