2018 YELL Youth Council

What is the Youth Council?

Youth Council is a diverse team of local youth from the community and from local schools who are working together towards a common goal. Youth Council meets regularly to discuss youth issues, concerns, and passions in the community. They then network with civic leaders and community groups to create a better community for youth.

Who can be in Youth Council?

Any youth from Chestermere, Langdon, and SE Rocky View who is between the ages of 13 – 21. There are two ways teens can get involved:

1: Any youth from the community can join the executive which meets more frequently and does some of the leg work to keep Youth Council functioning between formal monthly meetings. Email youthcouncil@yoursynergy.ca for more details.

2: Youth can approach their schools to become school representatives. Schools may select two representatives to sit on the Council and act as liaisons for the school.

*Registration for Youth Council closes January 15th*
