WITH SO MANY WAYS TO DO IT, IT'S EASY TO GIVE BACK!
When many residents think about volunteering, they envision having to make a long term, time consuming commitment to do the work that no one else wants to do. We all know this is not necessarily the case. Giving back to your community can come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Whether you give your time to a board, your talent as a coach, or donate to a fundraiser, you are playing a significant role in strengthening your community.

Chestermere Gives Back (CGB) is a community initiative encouraging all residents to give back – as individuals, couples, families, groups, or workplaces by volunteering their time or talent. Many times people are not even aware of the contribution they are making to the community whether it be through car-pooling, volunteering at their child’s school, selling raffle tickets or making phone calls for a local sports team.
SYNERGY, with support from the Calgary Foundation and numerous local organizations, set out to learn what residents think is essential about giving back to our community – this is what they told us…
